Seeing as some did not get it, labeling it either a typo or a boo-boo outright, I have to justify my choice of "smashing" instead of "smacking"...!
Simply put, no matter what other meanings "smacking" has gathered all on its own, "lip-smashing" (as in smash'em together) sounds much more "massacre-like" than the traditional "lip-smacking"...
Agreed?
